White Pigeon fifth graders spent Friday on the family farm of Edgar and Phyllis Miller.
The students were divided into three groups and toured the hog barn, the chicken coop, and visited the cows. The students learned more about farm equipment and climbed through the cab of a massive John Deere tractor before eating lunch provided by the Millers.

Three men killed in Friday crash

A crash in western LaGrange County Friday afternoon killed three men. The crash occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Pronounced dead at the scene were Dwayne Davis, 21, of Parker City; Frederick Petro, 19, of Muncie; and Christopher Whiteman, 26, of Muncie.
According to the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department, Dwayne Davis was the driving of a 1998 Dodge 4-door eastbound on U.S. 20 west of C.R. 1200 W, near the Elkhart County line, when it appeared that he drove left of [...]

The White Pigeon Village Council met in a closed session to discuss the recent arrest and charges alleged against Police Sgt. William Burgoyne and Police Chief Lynn (Dutch) Baker.
Baker has been with White Pigeon Police Department since 1994 and has been its chief of police since 1995. He has been in law enforcement for 33 years.
